YMCA Teen Adventure & Teen Leadership Camps (Ages 14-17)

Teen Adventure: Voyagers (ages 14-16)

Available June 12-17, June 26-July 1, July 3-8, July 24-29

Voyagers is packed with action, opportunities to make new friends and a new adventure each day. Voyager campers will participate in an overnight camping experience lead by professional YMCA staff. Voyagers also gain life skills, work through group teambuilding experiences, and have camp activities unique to the Voyager program. It's sure to be one of the best summer experiences ever!


Teen Beginning Leaders:Blippers (age 15)

Available June 19-24, July 10-15, July 17-22

Blippers stands for Beginning Leaders Practicing and Promoting Role Modeling Skills. This one-week leadership program is designed for teens transitioning from camper to counselor. Blippers spend half the day focused on leadership development and the other half participating in camp activities.


Teen Leadership:Clippers (age 16)

2022 Program Rate: $905
Available June 12-24, July 3-15 (2 weeks)*

This two-week Teen Leadership Camp (Clippers) program is designed for teens transitioning from camper to counselor. Through this program, your teen learns how to become a counselor and camp leader while mentoring younger campers and being a positive role model. Clippers will participate in camp service projects and develop new skills, all while enjoying the excitement of summer camp. During their second week at camp, Clippers will be placed in a cabin to shadow a counselor and have hands on experience as a leader.

*All Clippers go home on Friday at regular camp check-out time and return on Sunday.


Counselor-in-Training Program (age 17)

The CIT program is designed for teens who desire to be counselors at YMCA Camp Potawotami. This volunteer program is a hands-on introduction to life as a counselor and allows participants to go through training and then assist counselors in programming for campers. CIT applicants must submit a letter of interest to the Program Director, Shelby Nichter, at Shelby_nichter@fwymca.org.
